Ethernet/IP Multiturn Absolute Encoder missing

Hello to all

Does anybody know if there is an Ethernet Absolute Multiturn / Singleturn Encoder

available on the market ?

There are lots of Devicenet Encoders from different suppliers available

but up to now I don´t find any part.

Please post some suppliers if they exist.

Pepperl & Fuchs / TR / BAUMER do not have some

Thanks Hefe

A company called Fraba used to make such a device, not sure if they are still doing it.

Re: Ethernet/IP Multiturn Absolute Encoder missing

TR Electronic had developed both a rotary and linear EtherNet IP encoder.   We are currently waiting for ODVA approvals.  Products should be available for the market in the next 8 weeks.

Hi hefe,

I received this week the first sample of Ethernet/IP Multiturn encoder from Fraba.

They told me that this product is brand new and higher quantities will be available in approx. 3 weeks.

You can contact Fraba for a sample.

Greetings Thomas

TR Electronic has released it’s first series of EtherNet IP rotary, multi-turn, absolute programmable encoders.    A linear encoder will be available in the coming weeks.

A news release is posted here

Re: Ethernet/IP Multiturn Absolute Encoder missing

Update

Pepperl & Fuchs is now supplying a multiturn absolute encoder which supports Ethernet IP (-;

They do send out the actual position and also the actual speed which is realy tricky.

Re: Ethernet/IP Multiturn Absolute Encoder missing

TR Just released their answer to EtherNet IP Laser Distance Measurement.  There is also a REALLY funny and interesting video... family friendly of course!
